Our story

Nearly Naked Veg blossomed from a family's love for farming and fresh produce in 2009. Since then, we've been wholeheartedly dedicated to providing families throughout Devon and Cornwall with the highest quality fruits, vegetables, and dry goods. Our warm, friendly approach and efficient delivery service reflect our commitment to offering a personal touch in every interaction.

We started our adventure in the charming village of Newton Ferrers, but as our customer family grew, we moved to a more spacious home in Plympton in 2012. In 2022 we settled into our site in Crownhill into a premises which enhanced our ethos of doing everything we could to limit our carbon footprint. There, we continue to share our passion for quality produce with customers just like you.

With great care and love, we handpick the freshest, highest quality produce from all our fantastic local growers whilst sourcing other produce from further a-field in a direct manner, ensuring our valued clients only receive the very best.

Our family album:

  • March 2009: Ben, inspired by a deep love for farming and fresh produce, founded The Nearly Naked Veg Company Limited in Newton Ferrers. His vision was to create a veg box delivery service that would bring the South Hams community together.

  • June 2009: Our family beamed with pride as we delivered our first veg box, thoughtfully filled with produce from our own farm and local farmers we trust.

  • January 2012: Eager to serve our expanding family of customers, we embraced new opportunities to broaden our product offerings and perfect our delivery service.

  • June 2012: We settled into a new home in Plympton, a location that allowed us to grow, diversify our offerings, and extend our family values to even more customers.

  • April 2022: We relocated to our new premises in Crownhill to further enhance our ethos of energy efficiency and customer experience. 

  • April 2023: Our family was delighted to launch our new website and introduce a national delivery service, sharing our passion for exceptional produce with families across the country.

Present Day: Nearly Naked Veg is quickly becoming the go-to choice for consumers who value fresh fruits and vegetables from a caring, family-owned business. We've lovingly expanded our product range to include dry and frozen goods, along with our fresh fruit and veg, all while maintaining our commitment to quality. Our daily deliveries from Devon/Cornwall, Bristol and London's key markets ensure that only the finest products reach your doorstep.
